Welcome to webpage of the St. Padre Pio Fraternity of the Ordo Franciscanus Saecularis (OFS), Georgetown, Texas. We are a canonically established community of Roman Catholic laymen, laywomen, and diocesan clergy, permanently professed and in various stages of formation, striving through the grace of God to follow Jesus in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi.
The OFS is a religious order founded by St. Francis of Assisi in AD 1221 and is recognized in Church law as a public association of the faithful with its own particular law, distinct from being a private devotional group. Our OFS Rule of Life was approved by Pope Paul VI in 1978 with the apostolic letter Seraphicus Patriarcha, replacing the earlier 1883 Leonine Rule. This is what gives the OFS its canonical standing as a genuine “Third Order Secular” within the Franciscan family, alongside the First Order (Friars Minor) and Second Order (Poor Clares). We gather once a month…
- on the first Saturday of the month
- from 7:45 am until 12 noon
- at St. Helen Catholic Church (St. Rita Activity Center) in Georgetown, Texas

We begin with Morning Prayer, breakfast and fellowship, followed by meditation, formation, and more community time. We end at 12 noon. After our gathering, Mass begins at 12:05 in the church.
